Rainy Days Always Get Me Down

It is also Back To School Day for my children.

While the South seems to be basking in the glory of an Indian Summer, up North it is still wet, windy and dull.
I couldn't even ride my bike to work today.
At least it gave me the chance to dig out my classic mac that has been in my coat cupboard for a while.

I wore:
Shoes - Clarks
Trousers - Florence & Fred
Top - Primark
Coat - Marks and Spencer
Bag - Clarks

  2. You look very stylish today - you know I'm a big trench fan :) At first glance, I thought you were carrying a Mulberry bag - it's lovely! Enjoy your weekend Jane...hope the weather improves, Avril x

  3. Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my blog! This is such a chic, classic look... the leopard flats and necklace are perfect additions. Oh and I'm sorry you're not getting good weather up north - I'll try and send some sun your way ;))

Am following you now, I love your style!! Hope to see you back again at mine soon!

  4. Back to school indeed the little blighters. Hogging the bus-stops and pavements at 4pm. Well at least the new boys at our local Big School are polite as they inadvertently knock you off the pavement.

Yes it is is very warm and sunny in the south and your stripey top, rusty trousers and fab shoes would fit in perfectly with the Riviera vibe around here. Cx

  6. Love your trench!
I'm not familiar with 'Mac'. Could please bring me up to par on this? :)

I just purchased a 3 season trench coat from the Goodwill by a company called 'Misty Harbor' for $8.00. It has a zip out wool liner and is in pristine condition. Its not a belted style and doesn't have a hood, but its so lovely and looks as if it has never seen a day of wear. I felt a little funny purchasing something so old (made in the 1970's) but it was such a great deal I had to. I could not find a good trench in the stores.

    1. Hi Lisa,

Mac is short for Mackintosh. The Mackintosh is a form of waterproof raincoat, first sold in 1824 and named after its Scottish inventor!
